From birth Harvey has been fully immersed in music. In his teen years Harvey played primarily Jazz, however Reggae, Ska and Cuban music resonated with him early on as well. Harvey Produces and Composes with his musical vision to bring Cuba and Jamaica together. Harvey's band, that backs up all of the Haus records artists, consist of some of the best latin musicians in the Vancouver area, hailing from Columbia, Cuba, Venezuela, Guatemala, Portugal, Belize, Spain and Mexico.

Grew up playing Trumpet, Piano and Upright Bass

Early years:

From birth Harvey has been fully immersed in music. In his teen years Harvey played primarily Jazz, however Reggae, Ska and Cuban music resonated with him early on as well. He studied with Some of Canada's best jazz musicians. Hugh Fraser, Denny Christianson, Campbell Ryga, Brad Turner, Mike Harriot, to name a few, have played a role in influencing his sound. Harvey studied Jazz Music at VIU in Nanaimo, after which time, leaving to study in Cuba under the great Roberto Garcia where his love for Cuban music flourished . During his academic years he fronted and wrote for his original skajazz/funk group,Bananafish Dance Orchestra. After finishing a field study in New Orleans Harvey Paris moved to Vancouver to play trumpet in the pit orchestra for the Broadway musical Legally Blonde. Multiple musicals later, and playing in a jazzfunk Project called Bazooka Picnic (Members of Five Alarm Funk), Harvey recorded an original jazz ep, in which he titled "i'll explain i person". It feated Canadian Tenor Saxophonist, Eli Bennett, as well as the rhythm section from the soul pop group LoveCoast.

Current:

For the last 6 months Harvey Paris has been producing/ composing for Tugstar, Prosper, Tieago, C'nez, Lokita, Eddie Martinez as well as many other artist and musicians. His musical vision has been to bring Cuba and Jamaica together. The music is rooted in dance hall Timba, Salsa, Mambo and many other Latin styles of music, all mixed into musical conglomerate to make what Harvey calls "Salsahall". Harvey's band, that backs up all of the Haus records artists, consist of some of the best latin musicians in the Vancouver area, hailing from Columbia, Cuba, Venezuela, Guatemala, Portugal, Belize, Spain and Mexico.
